[mythtv-users] Partial Recording

I'm considering trying to play with the scheduler to allow "partial
recordings".

That is, when you've got a show such as the news, or a general panel
discussion, or long-running sports program, and it partially conflicts
with a higher-priority show it would be nice to mark that you'd like to
get as much as you can recorded, even when you can't get the whole
thing.

Anybody think this is useful? Anybody got any suggestions as to problems
I might hit in doing this?

I'm pretty time-poor at the moment, and don't know when/if I'll get time
to actually work on this, so in the "lazy web" tradition I'm throwing it
out there in the vain hope that by the time I get round to it, it'll be
half-done. Though it's more than likely that I'll end up picking up a
second tuner card and this will stop being an issue for me and I'll
never get it done.
