[mythtv-users] Does MythTV support Latin-1 supplement?

Hi,
I'm using MythTV here in Iceland and it works great.  The only problem is 
that it does not support icelandic letters which are a part of the unicode 
Latin-1 supplement.
Does MythTV not support unicode, or are there any tricks to fix this?
