[mythtv-users] Probably Simple MythVideo Question

Sorry, this is probably simple, but I am still confused after searching the 
archives and the Howto seems to be virtually empty on MythVideo.

I have separate front and backends.

Videos stored on the backend.
Path configured (using frontend) in video manager.
But no videos visible.

How should this work?    Do videos not stream like TV?

Is it looking for a local path?  So do I need to create an NFS share on the 
backend and mount on the frontend?

Or what?
