[mythtv-users] Slightly OT - Best notebooks

Hi,

When it comes to mythtv, I wouldn't worry about the laptop you getting. 
Other then the video card (as you have mentioned) driver support (Not so 
much the specs, just solid driver support itself.  I have mythtv 
installed under Knoppix on a ism t20 (p3, 700mhz, 12 gig, 256 mb). If i 
recall correctly, it has a 8 MB S3 Savage IX8. The t20 works great as a 
part-time front end.

My advice when buying a Linux laptop, is if you can get your hands on 
the unit your  buying, grab your handy Knoppix disk, and see how the 
system reacts. If your really are concerned about the graphics 
performance, whether it's for work or pleasure,  i suggest again getting 
a unit, and having a demanding game like War craft installed on it. If 
the unit is going to fail, chances are it will fail on this type of  game.
