[mythtv-users] Remote encoder not responding. ??????

Hi,
I have mythtc running on a stock mandrake 2005 installation and it just about 
works, except that livetv and playing MPs are both jerky (relpaying video is 
also jerky but that could be because they are recorded jerky).  This kernel 
does not support real time threads (although the mythtv error message 
misleadingly refers to SUID issues)

So I would like to switch to the multimedia kernel in the contrib section.  
But when I do I get no live TV at all, or at least no  sound and then it 
crashes after 15 seconds or so.  I've pasted all the messages below.

I should note that KDE-TV works in both cases and the dmesg results for bttv 
(leadtek winfast xp2000 deluxe) are the same.

What can I do
