Check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Should look Something like this in the device section.

Section "Device"
        Identifier  "Videocard0"
        Driver      "nvidia"
        VendorName  "Videocard vendor"
        BoardName   "NVIDIA GeForce FX (generic)"
        Option      "RenderAccel" "1"
        # TV  Out Setup
        Option      "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
        Option      "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
        Option      "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"
EndSection

The critical line is:

Option    ³TVOutFormat² ³SVIDEO²

This might help.

Subject: [mythtv-users] Black and White

I¹m getting black and white out of the SVideo output on my PVR-350. The
composite out is in color but I don¹t want to use this.
 
The rig is FC3, ATRPM¹s from Jarod¹s Guide. TV Out via the PVR-350
 
Is there a setting somewhere that I have set wrong (to composite for
example)?
 
If so, where can I find it?
