[mythtv-users] backend / frontend not completly clear to me

Hi all,

Just joined the mailing list because I couldnt find the awnser I was 
looking for the "regular" way.

When I install mythtv on the computer that resides in my basement. And 
install the frontend on a other computer. In how far does the frontend 
give me control over mythtv? When I install an emulator plugin, does it 
run at a decent speed to play, regarding the network latency?

Or would it better for me to install the frontend and backend on the 
same computer? wich means for me to spend extra money on buying a silent 
computer.

Hope there are some people out there who can clear a few things up for 
me, regarding the frontend.
