Thank you Steve for trying to find a common thread in all of this.

>3. the output from a 6200ch -v channel change
The id for this box was not included in the 6200ch program so I had to
manually add it to get the channel changes to work. However, the
program runs perfectly and it able to change the channel flawlessly 100%
of the time.
./6200ch -v -n 1 3
starting with node: 1
node 1: vendor_id = 0x000014e8 model_id = 0x0000620a
AV/C Command: 003 = Op1=0x00487C20 Op2=0x00487C20 Op3=0x00487C23

5 - channel changes always occur flawlessly, as far as I can tell..
>7. a brief description of what your box does when you try and change channels.
>I have a brief description of what happens to me below in the quoted email.
Channel changing always works, but I only seem to be able to receive a
stream from the cable box about 30% of the time. I have yet to figure
out what the circumstances are that yield valid captures, because
successful recordings seem to occur at random.
