I have the following in mythfrontend's log file, which
are the last lines before the frontend just up and
crashes (leaving the window manager still functioning
sans mythfrontend):
2005-12-28 21:03:06.177 Changing from None to
WatchingPreRecorded
2005-12-28 21:03:06.178 Realtime priority would
require SUID as root.
2005-12-28 21:03:06.232 Video timing method: USleep
with busy wait
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 140
Minor opcode: 14
Resource id: 0x15b
2005-12-28 21:26:51.591 Couldn't get the color key
color, and we need it.
You likely won't get any video.

I was about to declare victory, having solved another
crash related to ivtv settings, though this one seems
unrelated to that. It occurred when I selected "Back"
(Escape) to go back to the menu while watching a
pre-recorded program. Myth had been running roughly
18 hours since the last crash, with medium-high usage.
The sytem logs have no entries that coincide with this
event, just mythfrontend's log.
System:
myth 0.18.1
ivtv 0.4.1 (using xv/yuv driver with x.org 6.8.1)
kernel 2.6.8 (SuSE 9.2)
P4 2.4GHz with 1G RAM
Anyone have any idea what's causing this? Any
suggestions? Is this a Mythbug (perhaps fixed in a
later version)? Should I upgrade the kernel? Could
this still be ivtv-related?
Thanks for any help!
