You're not talking about recording filters, correct? (which don't work
with hardware MPEG cards)

I've thought in the past it would make sense  to be able to pre-filter
pre-deint on a recording. Maybe make it a transcode option. Then
everybody could have kerndeint and/or hqdn3d on playback no matter how
powerful the playback machine was.

While it would be useful to set playback filters on a per channel
basis, (And it sounds like it may be possible now, but not sure how),
it would also be GREAT to be able to set playback options on a
source-resolution basis, especially since most FTA/OTA channels don't
broadcast in HD all the time, or at least in 16.9.

Anyone aware of anything like this currently under dev?
