You need to run some sort of DNS server. I can highly recommend
dnsmasq which is very easy to use and setup (unlike bind), and
supports DHCP leases so that you don't have to bind the machine names
to a static IP. Find it at http://thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/doc.html
