[mythtv-users] Auto Expire Doesn't

Hello,

Since upgrading from 0.17 to 0.18.1 and adding a pcHDTV card to my setup,
I have found that auto-expire no longer works on my system. Despite
having many shows available for expiry, my MythTV recordings disk fills
up. This causes the backend to hang, along with other problems.

I can't figure out what to do. Here's what I've tried so far:

1. Make sure there is content available for auto-expiry. There is,
   dozens of GB worth.

2. Increase the minimum free space settings and decrease the run
frequency. I bumped up the minimum free space to 6GB and set it to
run every 5 minutes. Didn't help.

3. Check the backend log files.

I noticed, first of all, that it no longer lists the title of the
program that was expired. Secondly, here are a few snippets from the
   log:

2005-06-05 12:00:05.347 Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2005-06-05 12:58:41.994 autoexpire: Last message repeated 8 times
2005-06-05 12:58:42.006 autoexpire: Expired Program
2005-06-05 12:58:52.605 Reschedule requested for id 0.

...

2005-06-05 21:26:20.284 Starting Commercial Flagging for "Larry King Live" recor
ded from channel 2200 at Sun Jun 5 20:00:00 2005.
2005-06-05 21:26:20.308 autoexpire: Expired Program
2005-06-05 21:26:20.352 commflag: Commercial Flagging Starting

4. Search the list archives. I came across this:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/114772?search_string=expire;#114772

However, it doesn't seem to apply to me. I made sure that the oldest
auto-expirable program does have a valid file on disk, and that the
oldest auto-expirable programs can be successfully manually deleted.

Thanks,
