Hi everyone, im still struggling on this prebuffer pause thing. From all
the postings ive read, its a very common thing, however i cant seem to
find any fixes for it (maybe i missed it?)

Its very strange in that, if i use mplayer /dev/video0 it plays from the
capture flawlessly with very fluid motion better than my normal tv in
the house, however it doesnt produce any sound from the capture card.

my mp3s work fine so my sound card is working...

I tried aplay like a lot of people have, cept i get this static pop?
kinda (just like you would get pluging a bass speaker in when its on),
when it first connects, then nothing...
# aplay /dev/dsp
Playing raw data '/dev/dsp' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono
underrun!!! (at least 10.160 ms long)
underrun!!! (at least 11.664 ms long)
underrun!!! (at least 11.686 ms long)
underrun!!! (at least 11.709 ms long)
underrun!!! (at least 11.682 ms long)
Aborted by signal Interrupt...

Can anyone give me some ideas?
Thanks

James

PS. jerome: did you have to change any settings in alsa mixer to get
sound from your box? id be happy to get static so i know its atleast
trying to work.

I should add that the live tv video never comes back after the pause.
