Don't know if this is true any more, but back when I added wireless to 
my setup (2 years ago), the "Plus" type cards from D-Link used a chipset 
that was not supported at all under Linux (i.e., DWL-520 was fine, but 
DWL-520+ was not).  Again, that all may have changed since then.
