[mythtv-users] Running mythsetup and adding a new tuner card doesn't work

Hi!

Ok, so I have recently added a new capture card to my system. At that
time, I was running MythTV 0.16 and didn't bother to configure the
second card. The 2 cards are:
First card: BT878 (WinTV Go! Card) with a lspci of:

0000:00:0d.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio
Capture (rev 11)

And

Second card: Philips Capture Card (don't remember brand) that uses the
saa7134 driver (well, maybe...) and has an lspci of:

0000:00:13.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7130
Video Broadcast Decoder (rev 01)

When I tried to finally configure/add the second card, I started
running into all kinds of problems. I'd modprobe up the saa7134 module
using every combination of the card= tuner= options (read on the
internet it was required for this card) but nothing worked. Then, to
worsen matters, the bttv card no longer produced video either! I
though, what a great time to do an update to see if it was just a
problem in 0.16

Along comes 0.17

Now, I again modprobe up the necessary modules for the cards (I'll
post lsmod at the end) and start mythsetup. I have tried deleting all
the card info, and the program info, but still, nothing works. I get
to the part where you add a new tuner (option 2) and go through the
steps I have gone through plenty of times in the past, but this time,
when I click finish, and it backs out to the prior screen, there are
no cards, just the option (again) to "Add a new card". It's not a
perm's thing, I have been root, I have been my mythtv user, I have
ensured I have access to the db as both (Ah yes, I have the db running
on another system, completely un-mythed, but that has never been a
problem before either).

Any information I haven't provided that may be necessary, feel free to
let me know.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.
