it looks like the Sound Blaster series does not include SPDIF (in
particular optical) output without the purchase of an optional
daughtercard?  Another possibly recommended card with optical SPDIF output
appears to be the Turtle Beach Riviera. Any commentary on that card? Any
other well recommended cards with optical SPDIF output and good ALSA
support?
