Xine works like a charm. I like Xine much better so far. I'm glad I had
this problem or I may have never tried Xine out.

Does this only happen on DVDs with a DTS audio track? Have you gotten
the same results from different playback software - xine for example?
If mplayer is complaining about DTS, are you able to change to another
audio track or list all available tracks before ripping?
