[mythtv-users] Master and Slave backends WOOF!

I have been cruising along fine with one machine as backend/frontend
with a PVR-350. I bought a PVR-250 and threw it in and noticed some
issues with jerky video and audio off sync on some recordings. It
didn't bother me as I had plan to run a couple of backends in the long
run and waited for the day/time to do it. Well as I told a previous
person on here I was dinking with mythgame (don't know how this
happened) but I totally crashed mysql. To the point I couldn't
recover. Not a problem as this was a nice excuse to the wife to allow
me to start my multiple backend setup. I started from scratch with
Jarod's FC3. Master backend containing the PVR-250 and slave backend /
frontend PVR-350. I went through the readme of myth about the 'goings
on' between a master and slave and thought I have them configured
right. I wasn't to sure if you had to put mysql server on the slave,
but did it as the documentation didn't say not to. I even made the
mysql mods to allow the entire IP range for my LAN on the master
backend mysql config. No firewalls on either box. Setup the slave to
point to the master backend in mythtvsetup and didn't run
mythfilldatabase as outlined in the readme. All boxes talk (ping
etc...) just fine. The problem is I run mythtv on the slave/frontend
box it bombs out instantly.
Question to the group:
Is there a site that goes into really good detail on setting up the
master and slave backends?
