[mythtv-users] OT: RG-6 crimping question

A buddy got his compression tool from eBay for about $20 or so, and
re-crimped his whole house after the cable company came out and upgraded
a couple of his cables to compression fittings. He said his cables work
as well as the cable co's.

Just a quick search on eBay yielded several in the $13 to $30 price
range, plus shipping:

FWIW I wired my entire house with hex crimped RG-6 over 6 years ago and
to be honest it looks fine to me. However I don't have cable internet,
but I do have DirecTV with 4 receivers and they all look perfect (no HD
though, that might make a difference).
