Worst case is you spend $20 on it, and then spend 3 weeks tinkering around
trying to make it work, only
to eventually give up and have to spend the $60 anyway :-P

(I did exactly that trying to get an old ATI All-in-Wonder to work....I gave
up and regifted that ancient card)
