Just rereading this thread, and wanted to note here, that when I am 
running glitch free under Knoppmyth, there are none of these errors 
showing up!  I think that a low level of errors is hard to see, or maybe 
not necessarily visible at all.  Maybe that's why you don't see any 
problems.  Mine was getting so many, they streamed up the screen at 
times.  But happily, running on knoppmyth on an IDE disk - none showed 
up during the hour or so I watched the screen looking for problems.

I switched to TS mode a long while back on the advice of many here.
