I suspect that they changed the per-unit price at one point (IIRC it was
$10 or so when I bought mine in 2003), and forgot to update the qty
prices.

I'd imagine that if somebody who needs one asked them about it they'd
fix it, especially if there's a fair amount of interest from this crowd.
