[mythtv-users] 1080i not available on FC4?

I have a sony 4:3 HDTV with 2 component imputs and 1 DVI input. I could not
get 1080i to work over the DVI input, and neither could anyone else, (unless
something has changed recently). So I bought a Crescendo Systems Transcoder
to convert the analog VGA signal into Component. It works great and is
powered off the PCI slot. My box is setup to dual boot into Linux and Win2K.
I have booted into Windows and used Powerstrip to setup my HD resolutions. I
decided that tv looked better with some overscan so I setup true 480p, 720p
and 1080i resolutions using Powerstrip. I used a few pictures that I made
as the background image and made sure the screen was centered, and once I
got everything the way I liked it, I cut and pasted the Linux Modelines into
my xorg.conf file. (that I originally got from Jarod.) Well I rebooted into
Linux, and backed up my xorg.conf file and replaced it with my new one.
Crtl-Alt-Backspace to restart X, and use the new resolutions. It booted into
720p no problem, but when I tried to change the resolution to 1080i, the
resolution was not available. Does anyone know why KDE would not see or
allow the 1920x1080i resolution? I am posting my modified xorg.conf file.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
