I checked this table, and it seems to contain the values that I entered as a 
transport prior to doing the channel scan. They are correct, although there 
are a lot more variables then you can enter; what I entered is correct 
(frequency, fec, symbol rate, polarization, etc).

Any other ideas ?
or should I consider getting a different card ? (I have a twinhan, and am 
not opposed to getting a nova-clone from Technotrend, and eBay my twinhan)

Since 0.17 these tables are not used any more. The only DVB-related
table is the dtv_multiplex table, which interfaces with the channels
table to tune to channels. I would check the dtv_multiplex table to
make sure that the FEC values agree with your channels.conf file.

This should have DVB support already (at least the X86_32 version do).
