No, I always remember that, because my first attempt to solve the
problem is to copy the nvidia...ko module from
/lib/modules/.../updates/... to the kernel folder. I guess that the
kernel should look for the kernel module in the updates folder, but
apparently it does not on the systems that I install...
Meanwhile I have read a little more about nvidia on FC5. Some are
writing something about SE. When SE is running does FC5 refuse to load
non-GPL modules ? That could explain the problem on the FC5 frontend.
