This is a linux issue, not a Myth issue. The direct answer to you 
question is "from your linux system configuration".

In linux, the timezone data is defined in 
/usr/share/zoneinfo/<country>/<region>. This includes daylight saving 
data. Replace /usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth with the file found 
here: http://matt.ucc.asn.au/time/. This file defines the daylight 
saving data for the 3 years of the W.A. trial.

Then make sure your timezone is set to Australia/Perth (via the 
gnome/kde gui). You may need to reboot - I'm not sure about this, but I 
did anyway.
