[mythtv-users] pcHDTV 5500 channels - DVB and V4L

OK....I finally got mythweb working.

Now, another newbie question:

I have a pchdtv HD-5500 card...I'm using Time Warner digital cable in the
Los Angeles area.  I have the raw cable plugged into the "Television"
input.  I can scan channels in DVB mode.  However, mythtv-setup won't scan
any of the low-order SD channels (2 through 98) as a V4L device.  TVTime
will see these for about a second or two, then lose the signal.  Before I
had scanned anything on the DVB side, TVTime would let me watch the analog
channels.  Can this card only be used in one mode at a time, or can Myth
be configured to see both?  I'm hoping that I just have it configured
wrong.

I also have a Firewire card and a DCT-6200 STB, and I have the 6200ch
script working (so it does change channels on the STB when used from the
command line).  I have a firewire option set up in the list of capture
cards, but apparently scanning channels is not yet supported on the
firewire setup.  How can I test to see if the firewire works within Myth? 
I'm using Thac's RPMs under Mandriva 2006 x86-64.  I assume that these
were built with Firewire enabled?  Yes, all the necessary ieee-1394
modules are loaded.
