On my pvr250 and pvr500 I can not tell the difference (and I have
recorded 100s of shows in both formats) between recording at 2.2GB /
hr at 480x480 and the same bitrate at 720x480. It just allows me to
quickly export my videos to dvd and watch them on a standalone dvd
player.
