Hello,

When mythbackend is started during the boot process, the backend doesn't seem to open the mythconverg database. I clipped this out of the mythbackend.log (generated with the --verbose all option):

QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
2006-12-21 11:51:54.827 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2006-12-21 11:51:54.859 New DB connection, total: 1
2006-12-21 11:51:54.864 Unable to connect to database!
2006-12-21 11:51:54.864 Driver error was [1/1045]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user 'mythtv'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
QSqlQuery::exec: database not open
2006-12-21 11:51:54.918 DB Error (KickDatabase):
Query was:
SELECT NULL;
No error type from QSqlError? Strange...
2006-12-21 11:51:54.970 Failed to init MythContext, exiting.

However, if I start mythbackend by hand (not as a daemon) everything seems fine. How can I check to see if the mythbackend process, when started as a daemon, is giving the correct password for the mythconverg database? Can anyone see a different problem from the log segment?

Thanks,
Bob Buchanan
