RaLink provide standard drivers for Linux, but I've never been able to get
them working reliably. I only joined this list after this thread was
started, so I do not know what distro you are using, but AFAIK there's
very few distro's that actually ship with RaLink drivers...

There's some issues where the card gets recognized, drivers load, but the
radio is not being turned on...
