I used to get a lot of missed changes on my DCT2000, but I found that if I
used nice to raise the priority of the channel change script, it happened
MUCH less often. On my Duron 800 backend, there occasionally be a five
second pause between digits sent from my ir blaster. In that 5 seconds, the
DCT2000 would timeout and assume that the slowpoke on the remote must surely
be done pressing buttons by now.
Have a look in your mythtv logs at one of the failed channel changes.
