[mythtv-users] Harmony 628 and Silitek SK-7551 IR Keyboard

This is exactly the approach I took. As long as your actions map to
menu that can be jump point targets, you're all set. The set of jump
points seems to cover most things that you'd want to have a single
remote button for, so this should work. Otherwise, the user just has to
do a bit of menu navigation, not a big deal.

The main "activity" oriented functions I have on my Harmony 676 are:
"Watch PVR" (maps to Myth Main Menu)
"Live TV"
"Myth Music" (as opposed to "Music", which plays the DVD jukebox; this
is a jump point)
"Gallery" (another jump point)
"Myth Games" (as opposed to "Games", which plays the Xbox; another jump
point)
"Cable TV" (which plays TV through the cable box, without Myth)
"Recordings" (which goes to the Myth Play Recordings menu; jump point)
"Schedule" (which goes to the Myth Schedule Recordings menu; jump point)

(This is from memory, so the menu/jump point names might be off, but you
get the idea).

Cheers,
john
