Tried that, no luck :o(

But I did just try encoding it with avidemux with pretty much the same 
settings and that worked fine. Well, the audio's out of sync, the bit rate's 
wrong, the overscan isn't cropped, the window size is very strange and the 
quality's worse... but there's no skipping at all :o)

Only other info I can give is that in every video I've done where it skips, 
the skips are all in the same place.

I'm gonna try encoding with avi demux in windows now and see how it does...
