Someone made a comment earlier that Plextor units require a working sound
card (or at least a working ALSA/OSS system). I think he's asking if you
can record from multiple Plextor units without having multiple logical mixer
devices on the sound card.
No, you don't have to plug the Plextor units into a sound card directly.
But yes, you need ALSA/OSS for them to work. I'm not sure if there are
any issues with multiple units on the same machine or not.
