[mythtv-users] recordings playback ending too soon

I'm having exactly the same problem. Not on everything, but on both shows I
watched on Monday night I was chucked back to MythFrontend with roughly 5 mins
remaining (and the full show length displayed when pausing both looks fine -
yet to try the mplayer idea though).

I'm running MythTV 0.18.1-r2 on Gentoo. Haven't yet risked 0.19 as I've only
just got my current install working properly...

Any hints/pointers would be gratefully received from me also!

In case it matters, I'm running a 2.6.14-gentoo-r4 kernel with a single Nebula
DVB card.
