[mythtv-users] ir blaster, fedora 4

I bought one of these:

because apparently the ir blaster that came with my haup 150 mce kit
isn't supported.

my ir receiver and remote works great, can control everything i need
to. i need to get this new blaster to work also, to control my
scientific Atlanta explorer 8000 cable box.

I've done searches, and found several dead links. i followed google's
cache of http://www.lircsetup.com/lirc/blaster/index.php and got to
where the change channel script runs, but I see no flash from the
emitter with my digital camera.

Please help if you can.
