Hey Michael,

I know exactly what you are referring to. In my experience what causes
the "break" is when you try to grab an mpeg stream from the device
when it's tuned to a channel that doesn't transmit over the firewire.
If I stick to the main 8 or so channels I know the device likes giving
me, then it seems to be rock solid. I set myth to record shows all day
long on different channels, going to see if it can keep up.

I too love changing the channel via firewire, it works flawlessly.
