[mythtv-users] Lowering CPU usage for goom visualization

I will admit that I am addicted to goom.

That said, my frontend almost has enough juice to run it, but it
studders on occasion.  I checked the CPU usage and it is using 70 to
80% of the processor and probably spikes.  I looked at changing the
scaling in the frontend, but is there anything else I could do to
lower the CPU requirement a bit?  Seems close and I have plenty of
memory when it is running.
