Looks like the problem is mostly solved. The screen shots were the
key. The aspect ratios of the image thumbnails in the menus in the
older mythburn program are not actually 4:3 (a ratio of 1.333), but
more like 1.19, which gives a squarer image. Consequently the image
thumbnails in the MythArchive-created menus look elongated and "wrong"
by comparison. Actually, the image thumbnails in MythArchive have a
ratio of 1.4 instead of 1.333, which really >is< a little more
elongated than it should be. Now that the change you made in svn 10600
gives the correct aspect ratio of 4:3 on playback, I can easily live
with the 1.4 ratio for the image thumbnails. I made screen shots that
I can send if you would like them.

No, I'm not re-encoding the audio and the file is not being re-encoded
(unless application of the cut-list counts.) It's probably just a
"bad" recording, caused by something completely unrelated to
MythArchive.
