[mythtv-users] Is it possible to move the MySQL directories or: Mydoesn't Mythbackend start anymore?

Because it appears mythbackend uses sockets when connecting to a mysql db on
a local machine. You could try specifying

Don't know/can't remember about that but you could try symlinking so
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock actually points to /opt/data/mysql/mysql.sock
