[mythtv-users] mytharchive error for nuv files but not for mpeg

My mythtv system has 2 tuners, one a DVB card and the other a plain 
vanilla capture card where I capture to an mpeg4 file. When using 
mytharchive it works perfectly with a recording from the DVB card (mpeg2 
source) however, it doesn't work with the mpeg4 source file from my 
other capture card. I get the following error

Marker bit missing before time_increment_resolution=2268.7kbits/s
[mpeg4 @ 0xa7e176b0]time_base.den==0
[mpeg4 @ 0xa7e176b0]header damaged
Error while decoding stream #0.0
Floating point exception

I have the always 'Always run MythTranscode' options turned on.

Any ideas about how to fix this?
