[mythtv-users] Having problems / Need info on BOB Deinterlacing

Well I've managed to almost get along without BOB deinterlacing, now that
I've got a fundamental setting set...

Originally I was using a screen refresh rate of 75Hz, which was because I
was just setting the resolution (1360x768) and letting X.org use the EDID
info to set up a display. Now that I found out the dot clock, vertical
refresh... from the X log, I used the XFree86 Modeline Generator (found
here: http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl), to generate a
modeline that gives a 60Hz refresh (same as PAL TV). Mix that with Kernel
deinterlacing, and you video which is *quite* smooth. Lots of credit goes to
that site, as it was very useful, and saved me hours of Powerstrip fiddling.

Now, one last question, I find now that the video is *almost* smooth, every
second or so, the stream hangs slightly, as if an interrupt occurred and
caused a glitch. I have an AMD 3500+ in this system, so the PC is not what I
would call "underpowered". Anyone have any ideas on how to smooth out
playback I little more. I'm about to try running mythfrontend with root
privileges.

Thanks in advance, James
