I'm using the ATI USB RF remote with LIRC 0.8.0 and it works great.
LIRC compiles the lirc_atiusb module for you and inserts it. I never
had to assign any driver aliases with it at all. I'm attaching my
lircd.conf file for you to use. Once you install LIRC, plugin your
remote and run 'irw' as root, push some buttons on your remote and you
should see some codes scan across the console. Just add my lircd.conf
to your /etc/ and reload lircd. I'm attaching /etc/lircd.conf and
~/.mythtv/lircrc for your use. Good luck.
