[mythtv-users] ptune.pl cannot be found

Use something like
# /usr/bin/ivtv-tune -c5 -d/dev/video0
# mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0

Yes, I figured it out. When I change channel for about 10 times, the command
hangs.
I found the process id and tried to kill it (ps -ef |grep ivtv, kill -9
pid), but cannot kill it. Only way out is rebooting the system.

I close the mplayer (kill the window), looks like the process is still
running and kill -9 to kill the process does not work.

I am using dish network receiver and PVR 350. Anybody successfully tuned it
to show some picture? If yes what channel?

Thanks
-Ramesh

Yeah, it's now ivtv-tune which doesn't have a gui so instead of what the
guide reports:
# /usr/lib/ivtv/ptune-ui.pl &
# mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0

Use something like
# /usr/bin/ivtv-tune -c5 -d/dev/video0
# mplayer -vo xv /dev/video0

where "5" is the channel to change too.

Also some items in the guide might have changed and he has been updating
it but if something recent comes up it's usually pointed out on his Trac
system, it's good to look over some of the tickets for any changes.
