FWIW, I built one of my first MythTV boxes inside of a gutted surround
sound receiver.  It was big enough to allow for an ATX board, 300W
power supply, multiple hard drives and a couple of fans.  While it was
able to mix in well with my other A/V equipment, it was quite noisy
and I ultimately ended up going with just a SFF IBM pc.
