[mythtv-users] New setup - can't watch Live TV or record from TV

It actually sounds to me like a corrupted filesystem. Did you create a
separate filesystem for the recordings, or is it all just one flat? If
the latter, you might also be hitting off a maximum file number limit
(one I hit recently with an ext3 filesystem that had similar symptoms
once it exceeded a certain number of files).

If you can, create a fresh filesystem under the /myth mount. See if that
helps.

Alternatively, it could be your mythtv account doesn't have appropriate
permissions to the filesystem.
