Hello I am new to this list.
I do not know if this is the right forrum to ask . I also ask this
question to the Fedora-List but got not answer. Now I will try it
here...
I have installed mythtv-suite from freshrpms.
The first problem is:
The card is detected but not as an DVB-Tuner.
If I insert the usb-DVB-Tuner I get the following kernel-modules loaded:
snd_usb_audio 69953 0
snd_usb_lib 15169 1 snd_usb_audio
snd_rawmidi 24385 1 snd_usb_lib
snd_hwdep 9797 1 snd_usb_audio
This is not what I wanted.
Does I need to build my own Kernel to make it runnable with this card ?
My current Kernel is:
Linux XXX.XXX 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5 #1 Tue Jun 6 00:52:14 EDT 2006 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
lsusb
gives:
~ $ lsusb

The card is detected - but no driver is loaded, does I have to write a
new udev-rule for this device ? If so can anybody point to a quick
HOWTO, Thanks.
I have no /dev/video - Device or anything else there.
I can manually run insmod em28xx to insert the kernel-module but this
does not allows me to use the usb-hardware.
dmesg does not show anything interesting to me.
Any hints are welcome.
Reinhard
