Actually, I'm not sure, but I assume that it's also technically  
possible to play a track WHILE it's being ripped. Like you said, it's  
pretty much almost impossible to play from the CD while ripping (lots  
of seeking...), yet programs like iTunes and RealJukebox used to be  
able to play from the moment ripping began. I assume that it's  
playing from the file as it's ripping.

Actually, that should be pretty trivial. We know the naming scheme  
that will be used (eg: Queen - We Will Rock You.mp3 --Or-- Red Hot  
Chili Peppers/By The Way/14 - Minor Thing.m4a) so it shouldn't be TOO  
hard to rig up a perl script to parse the data into some kind of  
playlist or queue them as they become available.
