Dont feel like the lone ranger. I find myself getting to the 
point of loosing interest in neat stuff too.  It usually 
happens when it is discovered that the effort to make 'it' 
work was not worth the benefit of having 'it' work.

So like you say...oh well.

Sort of like comparing the implementation of mythtv to 
taking thousands of dollars of computer equipment and 
turning it all into a 100 dollar TV/VCR combination.

I think we could all benefit from more honest evaluations of 
'it' before we go to the trouble of making 'it' work.

Just my two cents.  Seriously, I do like mythtv....not that 
'it' works.
