and you could use 6 PVR-500s for 12 inside the case but at some point
the PCI bus will be saturated (not to mention the case heat issue)
and unless you are recording something like NFL Season Ticket, how
many simultaneous streams do you really need? One PVR-500 for each
front end should be enough so you can record stuff as well as watch
live tv on each. Multiple backends seems most sensible and then you
have redundant hardware if something fails.
